Nali Neisse

Nali Neisse is a writer and visual artist born in Brazil in 1994 who grew up in Cruz Alta, Rio Grande do Sul, but discovered her true artistic being in São Paulo, in 2021. Since then, she has been using text to make interventions on different mediums and objects, like clothes and different ordinary items. With fashion as a consistent field, Nali work brings to life wearable upcycled art pieces that highlight her deepest emotions. It is with a sacred visceral red mark on top of a white canvas that she tells her own story, making every hand made object unique.  

Living in New York, Nali Neisse started to present her creations in fashion shows, art exhibitions and also collaborating with other artists. Her ambition with the work is to bring human complexity to a palatable field through showing her own vulnerability in an elegant high contrast expression. 

“My purpose is to give birth to emotions that are latent but coded in the imaginary by translating them to a text form. It is connecting the plasticity of human impulses and words that I bring up what looks like an X-ray of my emotional backbone.”
