Brir

After nearly a decade of working for other brands, stylist Duda Braga decided to create her own. Brir, the accessories brand, initially started as a personal project in 2012, selling to friends and acquaintances before evolving into a successful e-commerce. Today, the brand has a physical store on Rua Faro in Jardim Botânico and a presence at Shopping Rio Design Leblon.

As a graduate of the Marangoni Institute in Milan in 2004, Duda has a strong relationship with raw materials that is evident in her work. She creates organically, using the materials she finds to inform the final design. The resulting pieces are often exuberant bijoux, crafted from resins imported from Germany, like pretzel, or unexpected materials like piassava, commonly associated with broom production.

Another key aspect of Brir's offering is the attention paid to the comfort and fit of each piece. In fact, all of Duda's earrings weigh a maximum of nine grams, including the popular seaweed earring, which is a hit among stylish cariocas and the brand's best seller. This focus on wearability is a recurring theme throughout the brand's collection.
In essence, Brir is an authentic, handmade brand from Rio de Janeiro that embodies luxury in its commitment to craftsmanship.
